Dr. Balabantaray’s research interests lie in the areas of Intelligent Systems, Information
Retrieval, and Natural Language Processing. He teaches Information Retrieval, Data Mining
and Web Mining. He has published over 100 research papers. He has copyrights for two
softwares he had developed. He was the principal investigator of a project on the
Development of Cross Lingual Information Access sponsored by GOI. He is reviewer of
various reputed international journals and conferences.
